Another adept at one of the most neglected monuments in Prague. At the same time, this remarkable technical monument celebrated an incredible 120th anniversary in 2006 and still serves reliably. It is the oldest concrete road bridge in the Czech Republic, which serves both road and tram transport, and is today protected as a cultural monument. It was built on the then Prague-Rumburk road in 1896 in 35 days according to the design of the architect Antonín Los. It was ceremoniously opened on September 28, 1896 and was the first steamed concrete road bridge in Bohemia. It consists of a single concrete arch with a span of over 13 meters and a thickness of less than one meter. The railing is made of concrete, the original concrete balustrade has been preserved. With minimal maintenance, it still easily withstands heavy loads of public and passenger transport.
