A beautiful palace in which the Embassy of the French Republic is located. The garden is big and beautiful. The consulate's premises look like any other office.

A v neposlední řadě i mou prací v rámci různých akcí politicko kulturních i státních.
This is a place that I personally love so much. I have him connected with the life of the French community, French culture. And last but not least, my work in various political and cultural events.

The beautiful palace complex (from 1919, the seat of the French embassy) is protected as a cultural monument of the Czech Republic, together with the opposite palace. Originally a schoole was standing on the site of today's palac, which later became the alumni of the Order of the Maltese Knights. The construction of the Baroque palace began in 1667 by the Prague Archbishop Jan Bedřich of Valštejn. Late, the palace was owned by his niece Countess Thunov, who sold it in 1732 to Princess Furstenberg. The next owner, Countess Hrzánská has rebuilt it to its present form after 1735. Today's palace name dates back to 1748, when it´s owners were French family of the Buquoy, the Count of Longueval. The interiors were rebuilt in the New Baroque style from 1850 to 1870.
