Well, I had to go here to pick up a package I wasn't home to receive and it went better than I expected based on the reviews here. The check-in kiosk has an english (and russian) option, and the clerk spoke excellent english. Despite not having the slip saying I missed the delivery and it being listed just under the last name of the Czechs I'm living with, they were able to get it without any problems.

Bad service, as at every post office in Czech Republic. ??The best thing to do is to come before noon, take your number and wait outside on the fresh air (cz posts don't use AC or fans) ?️while still be able to check your number from the distance. ?

The worst post office in Prague: rude, unprofessional, incompetent and openly lazy. I've stopped sending anything through them, always go to JZP post office Praha 3 to send parcels / letters. Waste of time and bad mood guaranteed with Post office Praha 6.

I sent a packet to France in recommended. the packet was sent to Jihlava. a company accepted it there. Now I have to contact the company and ask them to send back the packet to France. I have no clue if I'll get the packet back, I paid 500kc for this service. Kafkesque

I've had a surprisingly nice experience here today, a lady helped me pick a number (without me asking for help) and sending a package to Russia went really really smooth. I've also bought a box and some supplies in the shop, the lady the was also pleasant and funny. Made my noon better. I think the post office (like many other institutions in the Czech Republic) often reflect your own approach.

With all due respect the package delivery services in Prague 6, while considering Holiday delivery rush by ČP or their subcontracted delivery agents, are close to non existent. The automated website advisements announce expected residence delivery timeframe with carriers' contact telephone. Short time later the same advisements claim delivery delay due to vehicle malfunction or other reasons. A day later the ČP automated message pops up saying that package could not have been delivered and advises recipients to come and pick up packages at Kafkova ČP in person. SMS messages or phone calls to given drivers' telephone numbers are seemingly being ignored on purpose. SMS are ignored and phone calls are never answered. In one year here in P6, I have never received any packages at my home by ČP letter carrier nor ČP subcontracted delivery services. For these reasons, avoid selecting ČP delivery option when e-shopping residing in Prague 6. To make things worse, the central ČP contact email center is simply of no help with generic responses. Their generic responses are vague without any suggestions how to remedy the specific inquiries.

Being honest I have never faced any kind of problem in this post office. Start your conversation with dobryden and let me them know in a polite way that you don't speak czech. Try to speak slowly in English with very simple sentences. The chances of having a good experience will increase many folds if you use this trick.
