Fr. Hanák - hodinky a klenoty

On May 14, 2018, I had the battery in my Certina watch (purchased in the same store) replaced. I wanted to replace them explicitly without measuring the tightness (total price 350 CZK) or the total cleaning and guarantee of water resistance (allegedly 2000 CZK). The price for replacing the battery here was CZK 200 (ie up to 120% higher than in other services in Brno. This "most professional service" lasted 2 hours and I received the watch with an unset date. This was completed only at my request - complaint I will not turn this "very professional service" any further Ivan Hálek.

Very pleasant and helpful service, patient, not forcing to buy, immediate service, also nice. Unfortunately, in the second store a feeling of moderation, harassment.

I wanted to have the watch of the brand at which this jewelry store performs authorized service serviced. So I prefer to call in advance to ask how it will cost. I carefully describe everything to the watchmaker on the phone, to which he replies that it is difficult to set any preliminary price, that it is necessary to see and diagnose the watch. So I come to the store and leave the watch there, with the lady telling me that as soon as she finds out "what's wrong with them", they'll let me know and wait for the repair price to be agreed. So I leave with a document stating: "price: 0CZK", "preliminary price: 0CZK". After a few days, the lady will contact me and find out the total cost of the repair (it was only a banal replacement of one part of a very widespread ETA machine, but because Hanák is an "authorized service", he counted perhaps 4 other items in the total repair, which I he didn't want such things as "total service", "total control", "total lubrication", etc., that is, things that cost them a minimum, but for which they can save the customer a nice amount) which was more than the same, brand new watch , which I could order at that moment from a reliable foreign e-shop! (BTW: The watches they sell are often very overpriced, as evidenced by the fact that they are able to give a 50% discount on some pieces!). So I contact the service and say that I will pick up the watch, but I learn that I will have to pay 400 CZK (only for what I have already seen through the glass gourd of the watch and what I dictated to the watchmaker on the phone after all). However, the document they issued to me when I left the watch with them did not write about any such amount. So I consider this a mild scam, how to raise money even on people who buy something in the jewelry store, use it for several years and then "afford" to ask for repairs or regular service. In the Czech Republic as a whole, there are many other places where they can fix your watch at least as carefully, but for a fraction of the price ... Another addition: Now I find out that the watch case was scratched during service in the place where the staples are attached to the strap (nothing that could not be polished for 600 CZK - as I was offered ...) and that the strap itself was given back to me to watch the other way around - really pimpular ...
