★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A little overpriced for what it offers, beds are not comfortable really hard, no mini bar and I found moldy tea leaves inside the kettle that has been sitting in bathroom/kitchen for who knows how long. Nice and old building but seems it's not so well cared for.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful art deco in Slavonic style of 1920s hotel, partially redecorated in 1960s. Grand in every way (ceilings!). Loved to stay there, if you have a taste for a good old-fashioned quality with a stylish service, go for it! Parking is in the back, just tell your reg at the counter.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very outdated hotel in a great location. Clean hower still feels like being in the communist era. Staff was very nice and helpful.
Expensive, not a good value. Breakfast had a good selection, good scrambled eggs, vegetables looked like they sat in the fridge few days already cut up. Overall would not stay again and would not recommend to others. The hotel needs major rehab.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's a very old building. Best location. Lots of resturants and bars just near by. Breakfast was good. Very spacious rooms with garden view. Staff was good. They do speaks English and German. One can park car at their private parking for 6 euro per day.
For a night or two not bad to stay here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastically located and fairly priced hotel. Rooms were clean but also a bit dated.
Antique staircase inside is definitely best part of the whole thing. Overall, I recommend it if you're staying in Plzen and want to be at city centre.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a mess it was. Stinky, blood or some other biological material on sunshades, Dirty side of bed (another bilogical material) Broken bathroom with mold. Breakfast was with addition of insects. Dont go there.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ "Gulag" is more accurate term for Hotel Slovan. This place is rubbish bin calling itself 'hotel,' or should be called 'hostile', not even 'hostel'. Stupid, surly people work there, leftovers from Soviet ineptitude and totalitarianism. Everything about the place is decrepit, with peeling paint, stains and dirt everywhere, mold in bathrooms, Soviet-era flimsy furniture, decor, and electric. Disgusting breakfast too. It is overpriced because it is so bad they would have to pay me to stay there again. Other, better places to stay nearby, so its location is also not worth it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Horrible hotel. It's like camping indoors -- don't bother. Incompetent, odious hotel personnel will try to rip you off, and enjoy insulting guests. No shower curtains, but try to change floor towel that gets wet as a result and staff will give you trouble for it. No housekeeping. They will not clean the room while staying. Dirt and peeling paint everywhere.
I like goulash and not gulag -- Hotel Slovan Plzeň is like gulag. Do not waste your time or money here.
