13. stol. Pověst sem klade tzv. "Žižkovy valy", tábořiště z doby obléhání N. Heršteijna. Skutečné stáří Příkopů je však mnohem větší. Archeologická sonda tu odhalila pevné hradisko z 11. století. Patrně zde vznikl obranný pohraniční hrádek českého knížete, snad v souvislosti s boji knížete Břetislava I. s německým králem Jindřichem III. Hradisko se rozkládalo na eliptické plošině o rozměrech 76 x 27 m. V prudkém svahu opevňovaly hrad valy, vzdálené od sebe 10, 18, a 15m a hluboké příkopy. Hradní (zřejmě dřevěné) roubené stavby se bohužel nedochovaly. Do dnešních dob se zachovaly dva hluboké příkopy částečně doplněné třetím. Místem prochází značená cesta z Rýzmberka na Nový Herštejn. The defunct castle - the ancient residence of Drslavice, also called Old Rýzmberk, was founded in 1040 after the Battle of the Czechs with Jindřich III. In archaeological research, ceramics from the 11th century were found here. Fortifications and other archaeological finds point to the castle from the 1st half of the 13th century. The legend here mentioning "Žižkovy valy", a camp from the siege of New Herštejn. However, the real age of the trenches is much larger. The archeological probe has revealed a solid 11th-century fortress. Probably here was the defense border castle of the Czech prince, perhaps in connection with the battle of Prince Břetislav I with the German King Jindřich III. The fortress was situated on an elliptical platform measuring 76 x 27 m. In a steep slope the fortified lines were defending the castle, 10, 18 and 15 meters apart, with deep ditches. The castle (presumably wooden) timbered buildings have unfortunately not been preserved. Two deep ditches, partially completed with the third, have been preserved to this day. The marked path goes throughout these places from Rýzmberk to Nový Herštejn.

Krásné Slovanské hradiště, se zachovalými valy, příkopy. Energetické místo. Těžší přístup...
Beautiful Slavonic fort, with preserved ramparts, moats. Energy place. Harder access ...

Je to málo známé místo. Ve své době jistě impozantní stavba i když se do dnes přesně neví k čemu sloužila. Pokud si uděláte výlet na Nový Herštýn určitě se jděte podívat i sem. Je to cca 2 km.
It is a little known place. At the time, it is certainly an impressive building, although to this day it is not known exactly what it was used for. If you make a trip to Nový Herštýn, be sure to go see it here as well. It is about 2 km.
