★ ★ ★ ★ ★ V roce 1898 zdejší dřevorubci a spisovatel Jan František Hruška zahájili sbírku na výstavbu kaple. Trvalo však dlouhých deset let, než byl potřebný obnos vybrán. Stavba kaple podle návrhu L. Skřivánka trvala jeden rok. Práce byly zahájeny 16. července 1908 a 4. července 1909 bylo hotové dílo posvěceno památce sv. Prokopa – patronu dřevorubců.
Kaple, která je dominantou obce, má také zajímavou výzdobu, na níž se podílela řada umělců, dnes již neznámých. Zajímavé je například vyobrazení Sv. Prokopa, jak oře s ďáblem. Dnes je kaple sv. Prokopa majetkem obce a stará se o ni Spolek na ochranu památek v Peci.
 In 1898, the local lumberjacks and writer Jan František Hruška started a collection for the construction of a chapel. However, it took ten long years before the required amount was collected. The construction of the chapel according to the design of L. Skřivánek took one year. The work began on July 16, 1908 and on July 4, 1909, the finished work was dedicated to the memory of St. Prokop - the patron saint of lumberjacks.
The chapel, which is the dominant feature of the village, also has an interesting decoration, in which many artists, now unknown, took part. An interesting example is the depiction of St. Prokop, plowing with the devil. Today is the chapel of St. Prokop is owned by the municipality and is taken care of by the Association for the Protection of Monuments in Pec.
