Podstatně byl obnovován po požárech v letech 1779 a 1836. Při opravě v letech 1855-1856 byla přistavěna věž, která nahradila předchozí dřevěnou zvonici. Vnitřní zařízení pochází vesměs z 18. a 19. století. Kostel s velmi neobvyklým zasvěcením Nastolení sv. Petra v Antiochii byl již za časů Karla IV. kostelem filiálním. V letech 35-42 byl svatý Petr biskupem v Antiochii, odkud v roce 42 odešel do Říma. Svátek Nastolení sv. Petra v Antiochii na biskupský stolec se slavil 22. února.

It was substantially restored after fires in 1779 and 1836. During the reconstruction in 1855-1856, a tower was added to replace the previous wooden belfry.
