Beautiful wooden and unique decor. One of the four churches with preserved underground kryptpou.

Beautiful building of one of two nearby churches, a pleasant place. On the nearby shores of the river you can come across not only swans, ducks, etc., but also very tedious ondators.

The time and circumstances of the creation of this Romanesque church are not known due to the lack of written sources, but it is believed that it was built sometime in the late 12th or early 13th century. Already from this time comes the present mass of the church consisting of a rectangular nave, semicircular eastern apse, crypt under the chancel and two towers (the northern tower is now preserved only up to the nave). The church also had a Romanesque grandstand, which was later replaced by a Baroque choir. In 1620 the church burnt down, whereupon it was repaired, newly plastered (blocks painted in mortar) and the southern tower gained a bulbous cupola. The church was baroqueized in 1677, but it was not reconstructed until 1745–1750 under the auspices of František Václav, the Earl of Vrtba and his wife Marie, the Countess of Klenová. At that time, the original southern entrance to the church was walled in and replaced by the present western one, while two rectangular outbuildings were added to the corners between the outer walls of the nave and the western walls of the towers. This reconstruction significantly influenced the present appearance of the church interior. The original Romanesque tribune was replaced by a crust, a new entrance to the crypt was demolished, and a staircase to the raised chancel was built around it. The interior also got new carvings. In the 19th century, the wooden extension of the southern tower was replaced by today's stone in the style of Alpine churches. In 1948 he was on the southern exterior wall revealed the original Romanesque portal of the church, which was restored in 1971.

Next to the church, the interesting interior layout will pleasantly surprise you - a two-armed staircase to the altar and a Romanesque crypt below it, perhaps a remnant of the original building.

Poříčí n. S. is endowed with two Romanesque buildings, this liturgically used is not stylistically purified and thus shows the gradual development of the building. The position on the headland between the river and the stream is picturesque although it has its risks. It is worth a thorough search inside and out.

Nice church on the bank of the river Sazava and its tributary. The church was closed, so we saw only the beasts. It was pretty rusty. The workers were fixing something here.
