Slowly but nicely correcting. St. Mass. 1x a year in September to honor the Virgin Mary and to commemorate the repulsion of the Turks from Vienna 1683 by Zdenek Kaspar Kaplik of Sulevice, who is also buried in the temple.

A somewhat dilapidated yet beautiful early Baroque monument was built between 1669-1680. The rich stucco decoration of the main façade is really impressive; Also the old cemetery under the church would deserve maintenance. Hopefully it will succeed. After my visit in 2020, I note that the repair is in progress.

Slohově nádherný kostel na malém kopečku s pěkným výhledem. Vyžaduje však rekonstrukci. Něco již začalo.
Beautifully beautiful church on a small hill with a nice view. However, it requires reconstruction. Something has already begun.

Nádherná barokní dominanta obce Milešov pod Milešovkou, která snad pomalu "vstává z popela". Doufejme, že už brzo zazáří v původním lesku.
A beautiful Baroque dominant of the village of Milešov pod Milešovkou, which perhaps is slowly "rising from the ashes". Let's hope it shines in its original luster soon.

Soaring up the slope of the tiny tiny hill on which the church stands was an experience itself. The object towers majestically over the village and the quiet peaks of the Central Bohemian Mountains all around silently assist. When you climb the staircase and see the incredibly beautiful decoration of the main façade, you are just beginning to think what could or should have meant faith for the simple men of this magical mountainous region. I thought I could not be in love with the Czech Central Mountains more than I am. On the platform above the staircase of St. Anthony of Padua, I found I can. Then I turned my back to the church front, and the local Queen Milešovka gave me three exclamations for that feeling. The church was built in the Baroque style between 1675-1680 and financed by Kašpar Zdeněk Kaplíř from Sulevice, according to the design of the architect Antonio della Porta. Later it was rebuilt several times. The richly furnished building with stucco decoration of the main façade and interior was complemented by a wooden bell tower on a stone pavement and an old cemetery on a triangular ground plan below the church. Unfortunately, today is both a church and a cemetery in a rather impoverished state, but it flashes for better times - the front of the church is all under the scaffolding, so perhaps in a few years we will be able to see it in the state as this exceptional monument deserves. Saint Anthony of Padua was born on 15.8.1195 in Lisbon and died 13.6.1231 in Padua. In 1232 he was declared holy and in 1946 as a teacher of the Church. The Franciscan monk, theologian and preacher is one of the most famous saints and is worshiped all over the world.
Climbing the slope of the gentle hill on which the church stands was an experience in itself. Staba rises majestically above the village and the quiet peaks of the Bohemian Central Mountains are secondarily all around. When you climb the stairs and see the incredibly beautiful decoration of the main facade, only then do you begin to think about what faith could or must have meant for the simple inhabitants of the villages of this magical but also raw mountainous region.
