Nice town, nice square.

A good starting point for exploring Bohemian Switzerland and the Lusatian Mountains.

The Krásná Lípa railway station is an inconspicuous quiet railway station a bit away from the city (as well as the Kr. Lípa město stop). I was the only one who got off the train, no one anywhere, so I decided to take a look around before heading to the center. What was my surprise when I saw the memorial plaque. I know about the Rumburk uprising, but I did not expect that this station also played a role in it. May 8, 1918. At that time, Czech soldiers from the reserve battalion of the 7th Rifle Regiment of the Austro-Hungarian Army in Rumburk rebelled against hunger, unpaid pay and bullying of German officers. About 700 soldiers first occupied the city itself and then marched on Novy Bor. Several of them also seized the train in Krásná Lípa. The memorial plaque was installed by the Club of Tourists from Krásná Lípa. On 8th May 1918, Czech soldiers from the replacement battalion of the 7th Rifle Regiment of the Austro-Hungarian army in Rumburk rebelled against hunger, unpaid mercenary and bullying of German officers. About 700 soldiers first occupied the city and then went on a march to Nový Bor. Several of them also seized the train in Krásná Lípa. The plaque was a gift to the Town from the Tourist Club of Krásná Lípa.

The ticket must be bought on the train. The building cracked, the roof of the pearl leaking, this is unpleasant for the passengers in the rain. Station reconstruction is needed.

Beautiful but unfortunately unmaintained station. At the time, the apartment must have been literally beautiful. There is only a dispatcher, so unfortunately there is no purchase of tickets or the opportunity to go to the toilet. But it is a starting point to a beautiful town with amazing surroundings. The city has another small station from both it is a short walk to the center.

A dirty train station with history and a nice environment. By the way, there is a shortcut via the field directly into town. The whole building has a flair, because you can still feel the KuK culture somehow. Everything else is typically run down ... But maybe that's what makes it happen.
