★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Památník představující roztržená pouta věnovaný lidem, kteří zemřeli v letech 1948 až 1989 na hranici při pokusu emigrovat z tehdejšího Československa. Na památníku jsou uvedena jména 82 lidí, kteří byli v letech 1948 – 1981 na západní hranici zastřeleni, zemřeli v elektrických drátech nebo zahynuli jiným způsobem.
Památník byl postaven městem Cheb, odhalen byl 27 června 2006. Autorem je akademický sochař Antonín Kašpar ve spolupráci s architektem Jaroslavem Šustou.
A memorial representing torn ties dedicated to people who died between 1948 and 1989 on the border in an attempt to emigrate from what was then Czechoslovakia. The memorial lists the names of 82 people who were shot, killed in electric wires or died in other ways on the western border between 1948 and 1981.
The memorial was built by the city of Cheb and was unveiled on 27 June 2006. The author is the sculptor Antonín Kašpar in cooperation with the architect Jaroslav Šusta.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Schickes Denkmal. Genug Parkplätze vor Ort. Die Einheimes nutzen den Wald hier scheinbar sehr stark zum Gassi gehen mit ihren Vierbeinern.
Nice memorial. Enough on-site parking. The locals apparently use the forest here very much to go for a walk with their four-legged friends.
