The castle is not visible over the fence, it is closed only for events ... weddings and other maxi events

The first written mention of the fortress in Mladějov comes from the 14th century. Until the 17th century it was probably a wooden building. In 1623, the fortress was sold to Albrecht of Wallenstein and Mladějov was led as part of the Kost estate. After Wallenstein's murder in 1634, the owners of the fort changed. After 1738, the new owner of the estate, the single lady Anna Terezie Unwert, rebuilt the medieval mansion into a Classicist chateau. In the first half of the 19th century. František Josef Gerstner, the director of the Prague Technique, the author of the project for the construction of the horse-drawn railway České Budějovice - Linz, often visited the chateau. In the 20th century, the new owners, whose descendants got the chateau back in 1992, rebuilt their residence into a pseudo-baroque appearance. In 2002, the chateau was completely burned down for unknown reasons, but the owners managed to restore the chateau over the next three years. Unfortunately, today the building is not open to the public.

Nice campsite with pools of clean water for swimming. Accommodation in cabins of a pioneer camp, or large cottages that have been occupied, or your own tent or caravan. Still clean sanitary facilities and half board for 140 CZK. What else to say???
