Hodně depresivní místo, ale předpokládám, že to byl účel :)
A lot of depressing place, but I suppose it was a purpose :)

Absolutně nedůstojné pamatníku, bez jakékoli péče v příšerném prostředí...
Absolutely undignified monument, without any care in a terrible environment ...

Autentická vzpomínka na události, na něž by se nemělo nikdy zapomenout. Génius loci tu je mimořádně silný.
An authentic memory of events that should never be forgotten. The loci genius is extremely powerful here.

To je důležité místo. Odtud odjel v březnu 1944 první transport pražských Židů. Bylo jich 3700. Na tomto místě vznikne Památník ticha. Už teď tam můžete uvidět fascinující sochu Aleše Veselého Brána do nenávratna, vytvořená z pražců. Je to silný zážitek. Určitě stojí za to.
This is an important place. The first transport of Prague Jews left in March 1944. There were 3,700 of them. Already there you can see the fascinating statue of Aleš Veselý Gate forever, made of frets. It's a powerful experience. Definitely worth it.

Dlouhá léta bývalo nádraží Praha-Bubny podivným brownfieldem, takovým "územím nikoho". Před dvaceti lety byly staniční budovy pronajímány a vznikala tu undergroundová hudební studia a výtvarné ateliery. To pak skončilo a území nádraží začalo připomínat kulisy románu "Piknik u cesty" bratrů Strugackých. Stejně působí i dnes, ale už brzy by se měl proměnit v další moderní a frekventovanou pražskou čvrť. Posledních cca pět let prostor kolem bubenské nádražní budovy ožil jako Památník ticha. Odtud byly během druhé světové války vypravovány transporty s desetitisíci židovskými obyvateli z Prahy do koncentračních a vyhlazovacích táborů. Po osvobození zažilo nádraží odsun pražských Němců. Součástí připomínky šílených událostí 20. století bývají i každoroční akce "Bubnování pro Bubny", to poslední proběhlo v říjnu 2021. For many years the Prague-Bubny railway station was a strange brownfield, a kind of "no-man's land". Twenty years ago, the station buildings were rented out and underground music studios and art studios were established there. That ended and the station area began to resemble the setting of the Strugatzky brothers' novel Picnic by the Road. It still looks the same today, but soon it should turn into another modern and busy Prague district. For the last five years or so, the area around the Bubny railway station building has come to life as the Memorial of Silence. From here, during World War II, transports with tens of thousands of Jewish inhabitants were sent from Prague to concentration and extermination camps. After the liberation, the station experienced the deportation of Prague Germans. Annual "Drumming for the Drums" events are part of the commemoration of the crazy events of the 20th century, the last one was held in October 2021.
