★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Utterly beautiful. The whole site is full of peacocks and pea hens which amused the children visiting. The inner courtyard is galleried and contains the main museum rooms. Outside you can walk up onto the ramparts which are wide and grassy and give a wonderful 360 degree view around town. The whole site is surrounded by a newly landscaped park containing the wonderful gallerie cafe.
