Park Rumburské vzpoury

We go through the park to the library, on warm days there is a pleasant sitting and thanks to my wife we ​​have a lot of nice photos from here :-)

In May 2018, the centenary of the Rumburk Uprising, a tragic event in Czech history, took place, when youthful naivete clashed with the murderous military machinery. While traveling in the north of Bohemia, I came across links, mentions, or even monuments several times, so in the end I decided to come right where it all started. If you are interested in the story, the Rebellion Park is the perfect place to start. Everything is clearly marked on the information panels, the place is nicely arranged and especially all the objects that relate to the event are nearby, only to the execution site itself is less than 20 minutes walk. In the park of the Rumburk Uprising, everything is dominated by a statue called Nepokořen, the author of which is Vendelín Zrůbecký. The park is nice but the sand path is not good after the rains to sprain your ankle

Beautiful park, spacious, but it would like better road maintenance, there were potholes, maybe from the rain ..... we have a double carriage and sometimes it was like an obstacle course :-) Beautiful place, in the fall it also has its charm.
