V 19.století byl kostel upraven v neogotickém slohu, zvláště pozoruhodná je jeho stanová střecha. Kostel stojí v parku, kolem je několik náhrobků, empírová kaplička a sousoší. Nádherné místo, které snad slouží Pravoslavné církvi. The Church of the Elevation of St. The cross is beautiful. Originally it is a Gothic church from the 14th century. In the 19th century the church was rebuilt in the neo-Gothic style, its tent roof is especially remarkable. The church stands in the park, around there are several tombstones, an Empire chapel and a sculptural group. A wonderful place that perhaps serves the Orthodox Church.

The oldest church of Česká Lípa was built at the end of the 14th century by the czech city burghers headed by Jindřich of the Vajtmile and by the permission of master Hynek Berka II. The founding charter shows the patronage of the Česká Lípa burghers over this church. The church and the city burnt down in 1426 and so the church was out of service for a long time. It was re-consecrated in 1490 by the Litoměřice Prosecutor Beneš Wallenstein. The oldest church in Českolip was built at the end of the 14th century by the townspeople of Českolip, headed by Mayor Jindřich of Vajtmíle and with the permission of Mr. Hynek Berka II.
