usually when i hear about historic restaurant I go like, oh really another tourist attraction, wth bad food an extremely high prices.
This is not the case at all, the big hall we where sitting in was amazing and you could recognize the mark of time , we noticed that many locals where having lunch there, the portions where big , and the bill really surprised us on the good side if you look for great place to eat in the area i definitely recommend this place?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We arrived and had a table without reservation, but we were lucky because it was pretty full. The menu has czech specialties, quite attractive offer. We took the boar goulash and the beef cheeks. Both came with brown sweet sauce, too sweet for our tastes and without anything to counter this sensation. The side was mashed potatoes for the beef cheeks, a bit better than the gingerbread which was also sweet side for sweet dish. Food house lager. Quite big portion. Food came quickly, service was ok.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I came here around June 2020 so I'm not sure this is the experience 100% of the times. But definitely one of the best restaurants I went to while being in Czech Republic, the beef cheeks with roseship sauce are amazing and the staff was also very nice. The space is perfect for a sunny afternoon, the outside area is the best.
I really hope to come back as soon as I can to try more things of this menu.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great atmosphere, fantastic service, amazing food, innovative recipes, delicious beer! We had a beer tasting sampler, wild boar goulash with purpenickl dumplings (wonderful!), traditional svickova with dumplings, potatoe soup spiced with garlic/marjoran (yummy!), potatoe dumplings stuffed with duck meat and served with deliciously prepared sweet cabbage, and other dishes (by the way the goulash has some appricots, I think? Yummy!!)
Highly recommended!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the restaurants to open on Monday. The staff were attentive and helpful. The dishes served were really good.
For the goulash, it was not too sweet and the meat was tender. The dumplings tasted nice and complements well with the sauce.
For the beef stew, it had a savoury taste and blends well with the mashed potatoes.
Overall portion size was reasonable for that price. Would recommend everyone to visit this restaurant.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely place with great ambiance and excellent service. We were here during the weekend for a family lunch. The place is offering Czech dishes, pretty standard. Also kids menu is available. The service was absolutely top - efficient, polite and welcoming. Good value for money.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If any Czech restaurant deserves 5 stars, this should be it. Living in Prague for 4 years already, never been to a Czech Restaurant that I liked this much. I was even considering to bring all the people visiting me from foreign countries. This place is just amazingly decorated with great food (We ordered four different meals, all amazing). The guy in the entrance was really nice also.
