The celebration of the sister's graduation in the restaurant was great, the attentive headmaster who managed to deal with everything and went out of his way to help us in everything! The food was excellent and the atmosphere in the restaurant was very pleasant ěk thank you and hopefully we will be back soon ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wir hatten den Schweinsbraten und den Hirschrücken. Beides perfekt lecker, ok die Knödel waren etwas nichts herausragendes, dennoch das Fleisch voll zart und geschmacklich 1a. Das Personal freundlich und die Preise der Lager zur Prager Burg angepasst. Also zu empfehlen ?
We had the roast pork and the saddle of venison. Both perfectly delicious, ok, the dumplings were nothing outstanding, but the meat was tender and tasted 1a. The staff friendly and the prices of the camps adapted to Prague Castle. So to recommend ?

Let me tell you why.
The restaurant is tricking you. On the menu you find for instance Gulash for 190 Kc but when you later pay it turns out they want to extra charge you for the Dumplings (knedlik) 50 Kc and they also add another 30 Kc (which is not on the bill) for the service.
The beer is more expensive then on many cities here in Germany 0.3l for 70 Kc.
The portion is kind of small.
So in total you pay more than you would have paid for a good meal in most of German cities.
Why did I still give 2 stars?
Because the waiter is friendly, the food tasted good and the view from the terrace was amazing.
I would have even be ok with the prices they would not try to hide the real price. On there menu there is 0 menioning of the extra cost for the dumplings ... it just appears on the cheque.
What is also strange is the fact that you have a hard time finding the restaurant on Google Maps. So I guess they know most tourists won't come back, thus they try to make some extra money.
I really hesitated writing this review as I understand in the current situation (August 2021 - Covid still around) it is really hard for every restaurant to survive, but still I want to be treated fair.
