This place is amazing! We went around 2pm on Christmas Eve and were initially turned away by one of the waitresses, but the older gentleman (owner maybe) kindly seated us. The decor is out of this world, set under the monastery and had many original features. We loved the Christmas theming and the beers (although my Christmas beer was better than the blueberry). The quarter duck confit felt more like half a duck and the wagyu beef steak was perfectly medium rare. You should definitely come here to ear and drink! The menu was in about 6 different languages

This was the most interesting place I have ever enjoyed a beer at!!! The feeling of this place is indescribable!! You must go there to feel the dampness, smell the moisture, and touch the really old brick at this place to get the true feeling of it!!..We got their light beer and blueberry beer that are both made there and they both were really good...I like this place and would definitely like to go back here some day....The bartender was really cool too and knew a little English.

We visited this little gem while staying at 'Hotel Monastery' It's in old catacombs, which adds to the romantic atmosphere. The restaurant wasn't busy with only two or three other tables taken. ( all in the lower part of restaurant), but the staff were very friendly, helpful & efficient. The food was great. We both had the goulash soup with my wife opting for chicken & I, the beef entrecote. ( both delicious) With a bottle of wine & a couple of beers, the tab was in our opinion really cheap, compared to other areas we have stayed. Would recommend & would definitely make a return visit.

Perhaps one of my favorite meals in Europe so far. Very romantic and personal. Limited seating space so call and make a reservation. The outside is unassuming but inside is a unique experience. Great amount of meat and veggies. The soup was wonderful too. Make sure you order their wine.

Nice place situated inside a cave with a romantic and mystic feel. Some mentioned that it’s too dark inside but I would disagree - it’s dark but you can still see and you can even read the menu without a flashlight. This restaurant deserves a high rating primarily because of the atmosphere and really good blueberry beer and dark beer. Everything else is pretty average, including the service and the rest of our food. I did not enjoy the salmon tartar- too much onion and the salmon was too ground.

What an amazing place! Food and service was not only amazing, but they went above and beyond by really focusing on the ambiance. Incredibly romantic vibe. There was a violinist and acoustic guitar playing next to the tables while we dined, with candles and soft lighting surrounding us. We made a reservation for 6pm on Saturday night, which is an early dinner (we had to get to a tour in town later that evening) but the restaurant was quite empty, which I attribute to the off-season (mid-February) and the early timing. Regardless, the meat and cheese board was a delicious starter and we ordered the 750gr mixed grilled meat plate for two. It included their pork, boar, and entrecote. It was absolutely delicious, our favorite being the entrecote! We didn't think we'd be able to finish it all, but we did! The house lager was also our favorite of the beers. Quite reasonably priced, especially since we ordered the most expensive meal on the menu and got a starter and drinks as well. I highly recommend dining here and hope to return again if I ever find myself back in Prague!

This restaurant is part of a monastery. The interior has a medieval wine cellar style. I love this place for it's exclusive, elegant and mysterious style. The food was also among the best meals I've had in Europe. If I go back to Prague, this is a place I would like to visit again.

Delicious beer in an atmospheric environment. We had planned on eating there but decided to just go for drinks when we saw the prices (which are twice as much as normal), we had the cherry beer and the light beer which were great. Service was a shame though, took almost 10 minutes to order a beer and the one bar tender/ waiter kept leaving for what looked like a private party in another room so that wasn’t ideal. Overall though would definitely recommend for a beer stop though if not in a hurry!!
