★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Jedna z mála památek v Sokolově. Sousoší nalezneme na Růžovém náměstí za presbytářem kostela sv. Jakuba Většího. Bylo instalováno v roce 1746 a nechal ho na své náklady zhotovit arciděkan Jan Stephelin. Cenná ukázka barokního sochařství stojí na trojbokém podstavci se soškou okřídlené hlavičky andílka v každém rohu. Jeden andílek drží kanovnickou čepičku položenou na Bibli, druhý nese malou Pietu a třetí má prst na ústech. Třetí andílek je symbolem mlčenlivosti. Světec byl podle pověsti umučen za to, že nevyzradil zpovědní tajemství manželky Václava IV., královny Žofie. Byl mučen a nakonec svržen z Karlova mostu do Vltavy. Tyto výjevy jsou zobrazeny na třech reliéfech po stranách podstavce.
 One of the few sights in Sokolov. The sculptural group can be found on the Rose Square behind the presbytery of the Church of Sts. Jakub Většího. It was installed in 1746 and was commissioned by Archdeacon Jan Stephelin. A valuable example of Baroque sculpture stands on a triangular pedestal with a statue of a winged angel head in each corner. One angel holds a canvas cap placed on the Bible, the other holds a small Piet, and the third has a finger on his mouth. The third angel is a symbol of secrecy. According to legend, the saint was martyred for not revealing the confessional secrets of the wife of Wenceslas IV, Queen Sophia. He was tortured and eventually overthrown from Charles Bridge to the Vltava. These scenes are depicted on three reliefs on the sides of the pedestal.
