Kdyby mi nepomohl zdejší chatař, který mě zavedl asi sto metrů nad lokaci a odkud jsem už jen sestupoval ze svahu v jednom směru, těžko bych to vůbec našel. V severozápadní části Špičatého vrchu jsou zachovány dvě řady starých sběratelských jam ve kterých Joachim Barrande a jeho následovníci získávali téměř po dvě století zkameněliny ze silurských břidlic a vápenců. Sběratelské jámy jsou mezinárodně významným typickým naleziště řady druhů zkamenělin. This important palaeontological site is now just a completely hidden and overgrown place that is hard to find. In the north-western part of the "Špičatý vrch" hill are preserved two rows of old collecting pits in which Joachim Barrande and his followers obtained fossils from the Silurian shales and limestones for nearly two centuries. The collecting pits are an internationally important type locality for a number of fossil species. Today, this important paleontological site is just a completely hidden and overgrown place that is hard to find. If the local cottage, who had led me about a hundred meters above the location and from where I had just descended the slope in one direction, had not helped me, I would have found it hard at all. I	Irena B. on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Moc krásné místo. Od rozcestníku je dobrý výchozí bod ke skanzenu Solvaylovy doly. Auta parkují na louce a cesta odtud je vhodná pro děti a kočárky. Very beautiful place. From the signpost is a good starting point to the open-air museum Solvaylovy doly. Cars park in the meadow and the road from here is suitable for children and prams.
