Stvolínky

Kouzelné malé nádraží, architektonicky totožná s nedalekými Blíževedly (které dokonce vyhrálo soutěž o nádraží roku 2018), je zasazeno do nádherné přírody Máchova kraje. Stanice nezajišťuje odbavení, to se provádí ve vlaku. Do obce Stvolínky je to necelý kilometr, proto počítejte s procházkou kolem 10 minut, ať vám to neujede. Zdejší stanice je také smutně proslavena neštěstím, které si vyžádalo dvanáct životů. Poslední březnovou neděli roku 1952 se zde srazil osobní vlak s parní lokomotivou kousek za Stvolínkami. Viníkem byl strojvedoucí parní lokomotivy, který projel bez zastavení Blíževedly a Stvolínkami a mylně se domníval, že křižovat s vlakem bude až v Zahrádkách. Ve Stvolínkách se ho marně pokoušel praporkem zastavit staniční pomocník. Při srážce zahynul strojvedoucí osobního vlaku a pět cestujících, v nemocnici pak dalších šest lidí. Následkem této nehody se do Blíževedel vrátili výpravčí, bez jejichž pokynu vlak nesmí stanicí projet. The charming little train station, architecturally identical to the nearby Blíževedly (which even won the competition Czech train station of 2018"), is set in the beautiful countryside of so called Mácha's region. The station does not provide check-in, this is done on the train. The village of Stvolínky is less than a kilometer, so consider a walk around 10 minutes, not to miss the train. The station is also sadly famous for the misfortune that took twelve lives. On the last Sunday in March 1952, a passenger train with a steam locomotive near Stvolínky collided here. The culprit was a locomotive engine driver, who passed without stopping a station in Blíževedly and Stvolínky and mistakenly thought that the crossing with the oncoming train will be in Zahrádky train station. In Stvolínky the station assistant tried to stop him, but unsuccessfully. The driver of a passenger train and five passengers perished in the crash, and six more later in a hospital. As a result of this accident, the dispatchers returned to Blíževedely station, without whose instruction the train must not pass through.
