After a fire in the late 14th century, the town was rebuilt in stone, surrounded by walls and further strengthened by a network of artificial ponds. The town's Gothic castle was reconstructed in High Gothic style in the late 15th century.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The square is very pretty, but let me show you the park behind it (my photos)! many people do not know about this and I feel that it is very underrated, even tho it is a such a beauty! honestly this was even better then the square for me! I honestly really recommend to visit this park, it’s located right behind the square! good luck guys!<3
