Současná trojpatrová klasicistní novostavba podle plánu Jana Bělského vznikla v roce 1858 na místě dvou starších, původně středověkých domů, ze kterých se dochovalo gotické sklepení. Za povšimnutí stojí litinový novoklasicistní portál z roku 1939 na straně Staroměstského náměstí.
Town house "By the Golden Camel", sometimes also called "By the Golden Unicorn", stands on the corner of Železná Street and Old Town Square. The present three-storied classicist newly-built object, according to Jan Bělský's plan, was built in 1858 on the site of two older, originally medieval houses, which are still partly preserved in the Gothic cellars. It is worth noting the cast-iron Neo-Classicist portal from 1939 on the side of Old Town Square.
