The U Červené lišky house stands opposite the Old Town Astronomical Clock, between the U Modré husy house and the U Zlaté koruny house. The first mention of the house is from 1401, but the foundation of the house is older, Romanesque. In the 15th century, this building was replaced by a Gothic new building, probably after 1508 another medieval renovation took place. Around 1700, the house was significantly rebuilt, thanks to a dispute with a neighbor, it is documented that this reconstruction took place as early as 1694. During this reconstruction, the original house sign was replaced by a relief of the Virgin Mary. The house underwent other modern alterations in the 19th and 20th centuries. The building has a statue of Jan Nepomucký from around 1745 by Ignác František Platzer. The "House By the Red Fox" is right opposite the famous Old Town Astronomical Clock.
