I was very satisfied, I ordered a week in advance, reliable takeover of the car at the airport, car was excellent, return also at the airport and immediate refund of the deposit.

Terrible experience with Vecar. After sending a booking e-mail with many information (including a czech phone #), and a follow up with a phone call, as I couldn’t check my e-mails due to a non permanent wifi connexion (sorry to be a foreigner), we had a rude person over the phone telling 3 times to check our e-mails instead of just answering a basic question. After having found the e-mail, and answering with as many info as possible and confirming the desired vehicle, we thought everything was Ok. What a surprise when arriving at the office, nothing was booked, and the answer was that they sent another e-mail asking for weird info like nationality and if we wanted to upgrade for a bigger car, but because we didn’t find this e-mail, they cancelled everything. However my GF was Czech, we provided her phone number to be reachable and told them that e-mail could be hard to reach us, they never gave us any phone call, and cancelled the booking even though we confirmed twice that the initial small car was alright for us. Woman at the front desk couldn’t even speak a word of English, and started to shout at my GF that it’s our fault if we didn’t check our e-mails. Invented some fake excuses. On the top of that, we learned on the spot that there’s a 9000czk deposit to rent any car (never mentioned anywhere, neither on the website nor by e-mail). This huge lack of communication and professionalism had a hard impact on our plans with no understanding, apologies whatsoever from them. Last time I deal with such a customer service.

Less then two weeks prior to arrival, I sent Vecar a request if it would be possible to pick up the vehicle 3 days later from their head office - happy to pay the agreed fee regardless. Mind you, I was getting the vehicle for 39 days, no small rental I would have thought . The owner/manager replied that the vehicle I booked is having a service performed and that it is unlikely to be ready in time for my booking. At the same time the owner/manager informs me that there will be no replacement vehicle available. None what so ever. I wonder if I would have been advised prior to my arrival to make other arrangements or simply just ditched. Absolutely disappointing, especially since I have been recommending Vecar. I will no longer be doing that, this type of customer communication is appalling and disappointing. Vecar is obviously doing so well that my booking was of no consequence to them. Vecar is off my list. After reading some of the review's , its apparent that many have had a similar experience - vehicle unavailable . What a joke. Perhaps the vehicle I booked was not available, because I would not leave a cash deposit of AU$400, but instead insisted on this deposit being taken out of my credit card? Anyway, I have booked a vehicle with another company and it is Vecar that has lost a customer and someone that would always recommend Vecar above anyone else.

If you expect new cars and high prices then VACAR is not for you. VACAR is a value-for-money small rental company with older cars but very affordable prices. Despite the fact that the cars are old, they are clean and well maintained. I have rented a car with VACAR on two separate occasions and had very good experiences both times. The service was very responsive and helpful (website quotes, email replies and confirmations, etc). I made a long trip within Europe with their car without any problems. As a local Prague resident, I will definitely rent through them again. I recommend VACAR to people who understand that they are small family business (and yes be prepared to pay an upfront cash deposit).

This was my second time renting from Vecar and both times I was satisfied with the handling of the transaction, the car (Skoda Octavia Combi) and the price. Very good value for the money. I will definitely recommend them to my friends for visits to Czech Republic.

Second time renting a car with vecar (Skoda Fabia Combi II). Unlike the first time (in 2014) when all went well, this time wasn't the case. I got a different car than agreed without prior alert. First day an issue with oil, I had to go to a car repair garage with the owner to get it fixed with the car loaded with luggage and my kids in it. After a week, an issue with brakes - not enough braking fluid that I had to get filled. The air conditionning stopped working for 2 days. When I asked for a discount I was told they are not giving any and that it is just a car, so this kind of things happen. Well, next time, I will certainly prefer another company who check their cars properly before renting and treat customers correctly when it comes to responsibility for car issues.

We rented the Volkswagen Passat from them for two weeks. We met with them at the airport, both pick up and drop off was very smooth. They were on time. The car was in a good shape, very clean inside and drove well considering it was 4 years old and had over 100000km. We will use them again when we are back in the Czech Republic.

I used the car rental after another rental agency let me down. Arrange of rental was smooth, without any complication and everything what was agreed was accomplished . I had Skoda Fabia II. Rental time was two months, during this period I hadn't any issue with car. I can just recommended.

I'm renting cars from this company for about 6 years now. Always as contracted, no additional fees or surprises. Timely service at whatever location I do request a car to be delivered or picked up. Nice promotions and even discounts for repeat customers. You can not go wrong by renting from this company.
