★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Čáslav má několik úseků velmi hezky dochovaných hradeb z 13.století. Vnitřní hradby obkružovaly staré město, později v 15.století byly dále rozšiřovány. Nejdochovalejší je část hradeb okolo Otakarovy věže, část hradeb nad Podměstským rybníkem, který byl také součástí opevnění a pod Kostelním náměstím. V tomto místě jsou hradby neúplné, ale přesto lze vidět, jak opevnění chránilo vnitřní město.
Caslav has several sections of very well-preserved walls from the 13th century. The inner walls surrounded the old town, and later in the 15th century they were further expanded. The most preserved part of the walls around the Otakar Tower, part of the walls above Podměstský Pond, which was also part of the fortifications and below the Church Square. In this place the walls are incomplete, but you can still see how the fortifications protected the inner city.
