★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Rent a car for the first and the last time there. Car itself was ok, but they forgot to come and pick it up at the airport. After a phone call they came 45min late. Fortunately our flight was delayed. Standing next to him after car check the owner suddenly closed 5th door and heavily hit my head. Caused massive bleeding. Despite of that he refused to cover first aid medical costs and any responsibility for the accident. Very unethically behaviour. Never more.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very good car rental. Pavel is a nice guy and the cars are of decent quality. After we rented a car for a day we found it more convenient to give it back late in the evening and this was no problem on a very short notice.

Excellent value for money. Paperwork process easy and straight forward. Car did it's job which is what I needed. Thanks Pavel.

Pavel was helpful and friendly.
The vehicle, a manual diesel VW Passat station wagon, was great. It has high mileage but functioned perfectly.
There are some things I would recommend in terms of improvement:
1) The tires were worn. We had a flat tire. The flat tire was not repairable because, in the words of the mechanic, "the tire was too worn."
2) The tire iron did not fit the specific key needed to remove the security nut. I had to wait for another motorist with an adjustable wrench to remove that nut. The tire iron did fit the regular lug nuts, but each wheel has one security nut to prevent theft.
3) The spare tire is a winter tire. For those familiar with winter tires, they are directional which means they can only be safely used on one side of the vehicle, either the right or the left. The flat was on the left, this spare tire was designed for the right. Not an ideal spare tire.
These issues are all easily dealt with. It was a challenge to communicate with Pavel during this time, since my Czech is virtually non-existent. I was concerned that he wanted me to replace 2 tires (I did not) because one of the tires needed replacement. I feel I went above my responsibility to even replace one tire (the tire shop was awesome and found me a used replacement at minimal cost).
Overall a good experience, although the experience could have been smoother, hence 4 stars.
