It can definitely match the big cities in terms of the size and attractiveness of the collections. I definitely recommend visiting.

Potřebují restaurátora jako sůl. Absolutely unique museum, amazing exposition of the museum, collection of exotic animals is fantastic I can highly recommend to everyone. It's just a pity that the city coughs at the museum. They need a restorer like salt.

Práce provedla firma stavitele Františka Skřivánka. Stavbu financovala ze svého rezervního fondu Záložna čáslavská. Veřejnosti byla zpřístupněna 22. listopadu 1885. The one-storey Neo-Renaissance building with a sympathetic distinctly light green façade was built directly for museum purposes in 1884 according to the project of engineer František Tetřev. The work was performed by the company of the builder František Skřivánek. The construction was financed by Záložna čáslavská (Čáslav credit union) from its reserve fund. It was opened to the public on November 22, 1885. In the museum we find a unique zoological exhibition. Furthermore, there is an exposition of archeology and a collection of minerals and rocks. The exposition of glass and porcelain is beautiful.

Beside it is an exposition of minerals and glass/porcelain collection. In the cellar of the building you find a permanent exhibition of local archeological excavations. Definitely recommendable for visit.
