A little hidden church. Interesting, quiet place.

The Church of St. Benedict in Hradčany is originally the parish church of Hradčany, first mentioned in 1353. Together with the monastery of the Barefoot Carmelites, it is located on the southern side of Hradčany Square. Later it was rebuilt several times, in 1626 a barnabit monastery was built next to it, which in 1792 was dedicated to the monastery of the Barefoot Carmelites, originally settled at the church of St. Josefa. The church preserves the intact body (natural mummy) of the venerable Marie Elekta from Jesus, the founder and first prior of Prague's barefoot Carmelites. The church is open during services, always half an hour before the beginning of Holy Mass, from Monday to Saturday at Holy Mass from 07:15, on Sunday from eight o'clock. It is possible to visit it outside the Holy Mass, if you ring the bell tower of the monastery, every day from 8 am to 5 pm - preferably by prior arrangement (tel. 220 517 366). It is possible to visit it also out of opening hours if you ring the bell at the convent of the monastery, every day from 8 am to 5 pm - preferably after prior arrangement (phone: +420 220 517 366).

Originally, it was a closed space where the general public could not enter, but the cathedral has been open since 2022. Every time I saw it, I could not see men going in and out, and only nuns came in and out. So it was a place I was more curious about.
