Luxurious hotel less than a block from the National Museum. Great prices & service, very comfortable room, bed, etc. Adjacent restaurant & bar is also a gem! Will stay again!!

Positive - flexible checkout time, room size Negative - Service, room cleaning. We stayed here for 2 nights. Room was not cleaned in between, even after complaining to reception. Shower was not working properly. We complained about this as well, but no result. Probably it needs maintenance badly. When checking in, receptionist kept talking on mobile, while we were waiting for formalities to be completed. Really unprofessional. Customer service needs to be improved.

6-10th of October 2021. Group of 2. Deminka palace was my base in Prague at the Czech Republic. This historic residence was very convenient to me, because it was behind the National Museum. Hence, it was really close to Wenceslas square with all this fun modern shops. But also, close to all these historical and cultural attractions. Everything was within walking distance. The room was very spacious and the bathroom too. It is really hard to find a spacious bathroom, but they have it. Big problem constitutes the shower, which is only from above in a small space. So, you have to wash your hair every time, even if you do not want and you only need a shower. The room has a wood carving heavy old-times door with gold ‘drawings’ and matching wallpaper. You have the feeling that you are entering to a traditional old castle of another era. Moreover, the personnel were polite and extremely discreet. But, every morning at 7:30 starts the hustle and bustle of the city and banging of doors. Also, soon starts the maid’s wandering around the corridors. Consequently, you will awake. But, the hotel it is definitely good value for money and within walking distance to everything. We couldn't sleep any of the 4 mornings a little bit more, even though we were on vacation. Every morning a drill was starting at the next building (not Deminka palace's fault) at 7:30. But, one day the drill started to our building's base. The 4* are actually for the unnecessary lies that it is not their problem, but the tram's tasks, even though the tasks were to the base of our building and we hadn't electricity, so no hot water in the morning until 12:00. Also, they have to improve a little bit their cleaning process, since our bin smelled cigarette from the previous customer, a chewing gum stuck to the hair dryer and there was scotch tape at the bathroom marbles from the previous ones.

No breakfast, be careful when the receptionists sent you to a close by hotel for breakfast (1. It’s not close 2. It’s way too expensive for what is offered) The room was amazing. Cleaning lady came every morning. The general aesthetics of the hotel (corridors, rugs etc ) are impeccable. You feel like you live in another era, Victorian or sth

Hotel was overbooked. Didn't contact us in any way in advance. Got moved to a different hotel which was 20 minutes away and in pretty bad condition. Do yourself a favor and book another hotel.

- shower was FREEZING and so was the sink. I couldn’t shower. Went downstairs to call the man and he told me he fixed it, so I went in and it froze me again. - no telephone in the room so if you need something from reception you need to go there yourself - if you eat the snacks you need to pay. And I noticed only after eating one since there’s nothing where it says you have to pay if you eat them (you’d think you can eat them since they are out the mini fridge) - you can hear everything that happens in the other room - finding the place at the beginning was impossible because there’s nothing written there saying DEMINKA PALACE apart from a very small sign. - room was not that clean and same for the bathroom Wouldn’t come back.

Misleading photos. This hotel is not a palace at all. The bed is like sleeping on plywood, extremely hard and not comfortable. Room heating system was very confusion to get to work. No rugs or carpet on the floors left feet cold and dirt on feet when getting into bed. Loud workers hammer drilling in the morning on one day which woke us up early. Minimal staff, which are all very nice and helpful, but they seem to only have one person working at any time so if you have any issues with your room, you need to wait for the front desk person to come to your room. The staff that was working was very nice and as helpful as they could be. The facilities are not great. Literally the SMALLEST SHOWER I have ever seen in a building. I have used showers on small boats and RVs that are bigger. I don’t understand why they didn’t put the shower where the toilet is and the toilet where the shower is. The toilet is in a very large area and the shower feels like a standing tomb... good luck washing your feet and ankles. Also, the shower didn’t drain well at all so you’re left standing in your soapy water....gross! TV is tiny (not that we used it), but for a ‘palace’ you would expect more than a 28” TV. Amenities are worse than you would get at a Budget Inn. Will not be back to this hotel. WARNING: the photos look nice, but that is the entry way of the hotel and it ends there. Will not return.
