This church is rarely open. Probably just for ceremonies. But it's beautiful. Inside is a beautiful altar. It is located in a cemetery, which is where I go to see my ancestors. So this place is probably not something I should describe for tourists, but thanks to the church the cemetery is also visited by tourists.

Taková skrytá krása, renesanční hřbitovní kostel s pozdněgotickými prvky. Nevím proč není v turistických okruzích Kouřimi.
Such a hidden beauty, a Renaissance cemetery church with late Gothic elements. I don't know why Kouřimi is not in the tourist circuits.

The renaissance church of 1591 built on the newly established cemetery behind the town walls, was exterminated by Swedish troops in 1639 resulting in damage to the original Renaissance equipment. During the repair in 1903-04, made by Kamil Hilbert, unfortunately the valuable cellar vault of the presbytery was removed and also the church trussing was replaced. Another rebuilding and monumental restoration of the dilapidated church took place in 1993. The single-nave rectangular church with a triple-closed presbytery is externally equipped with an impressive backrests. The building is covered by a high saddle roof with an octagonal tower on the ridge, which replaced the original onion boulder with a poppy head. The main altar dates back to 1700. The altar painting depicting the Holy Trinity by J. Ludwig Bernard dates back to 1860. There are several tombstones on the front of the church, the oldest of which are two renaissance children tombstones from around 1600. Today the filial church is under the administration of the Roman Catholic parish Kostelec nad Černými lesy. Regular services do not take place in the church. The building together with the cemetery wall and the gate is registered in the Central List of the Cultural Monuments of the Czech Republic.
