The building was designed by architect Karel Hubáček as three parallel, interconnected steel cylinders with a respectable height of 50 m and a diameter of 3.5 m. It was completed in 1977 and is an example of a utility engineering work with high architectural value. Between the railway tracks and the top path on the ridge of Dívčí hrady in a steep gorge, you can come across the Karlštejn spring. It is relatively difficult to access and if you do not look for it in a targeted way, you will probably miss the place.
