Pohřbeni tu jsou například příslušníci šlechtické rodiny Hergetů, vlastníků cementáren, cihelen a vápenek, rodina písničkáře Karla Hašlera, či oběti bojů v květnovém povstání roku 1945, například Dr. Antonín Stránský. The Hlubočepy cemetery was founded and consecrated on June 27, 1897 on the slope of the Žvahov hill below Hradiště Děvín along the road leading parallel to the Prague Semmering railway line. There are about a thousand burial sites on a regular rectangular floor plan with an area of a roughly half a hectare. The oldest graves can be found in the lower southern part of the cemetery and along the eastern and western walls. At the northern wall to the right of the morgue, the Monument is the nameless victim of the war stands. Buried here are, for example, members of the noble Herget family, owners of cement plants, brickyards and limestones, the family of the famous songwriter, actor, lyricist, composer, writer, screenwriter, playwright and director Karel Hašler, or the victims of the fighting in the May Uprising of 1945, such as Dr. Antonín Stránský.
