As part of the Erzgebirge / Erzgebirge Mining Region, the Krupka Mining Region has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2019. The area is exceptional for its high concentration of mine workings dating back to the Middle Ages and early modern times, and is the oldest ore district in Bohemia. Worth mentioning is the Great Pinch on Komáří hůrka or the St Martin's Tunnel. The historical core of the town of Krupka, which is characterized by its medieval urban structure with valuable burgher houses and sacral buildings, is also valuable. The dominant feature of Krupka is the castle from the 14th century and the Gothic Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary.

The Krupka Mining Landscape Information Center can be found in the Municipal Monument Zone - in Husitská Street. The building with a reception, exhibition area, conference hall and classroom mapping the history of medieval mining in the Ore Mountains was opened on March 14, 2018. On the ground floor, where the reception is located, you can get information about the history of Krupka, local monuments and ongoing cultural events. On the first floor there is an exhibition containing a sample of ores that were mined in the area, a collection of various objects made of tin, a model of the medieval bell tower and Krupka castle, or archeological finds that prove the oldest settlement at the church of St. Prokop. It is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 09:00 to 17:00, with a lunch break from 12:00 to 12:30. The Krupka Mining Landscape Information Center is located in the City Monument Zone - Husitská Street.
