Unlike a large part of its surroundings, Krupka is trying to develop culturally and this museum is still a small example of the way in the right direction.

The section of paleontology and mineralogy was also interesting. Originally a Renaissance terraced two-storey house, it was rebuilt at the end of the 18th and then again in the 19th century. Unfortunately, the museum is closed from 31 January 2018 to 2021 due to extensive reconstruction. The historic building will get a new gable roof and a new facade. Inside, for example, there will be a barrier-free elevator, reception and facilities for city services. The internal staircase, sanitary facilities, walls, ceilings and floors of individual rooms will also undergo construction modifications. After the reconstruction, only the exposition dedicated to the town and tin mining will return to Krupka, which will expand significantly. The Nature of Northwest Bohemia exhibition will move to Teplice Castle. The museum, which is located right in the heart of the Urban Conservation Area in originally burger house, houses a permanent exhibition devoted to tin mining, nature and history of the region.
