Bronze statue of Emperor Joseph II. is depicted almost in a street art way in the role of a graduate with a blue sash, which is both sweet and funny, after all it stands on Student Square. Before 2015, the square had the name of the emperor himself. He visited Kadaň on September 30, 1779. His monument stood in the town sometime from the late 19th century until the end of World War I and the establishment of Czechoslovakia. Then it was moved behind the dean's Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross - but it was only a statue without a plinth. At this point the cast iron stood until the beginning of the 1990s. Then it returned almost exactly to its original position.
