Pěkný nenápadný kostelík u řeky. Interiér vypadá moc hezky. :)
Nice inconspicuous church by the river. The interior looks very nice. :)

V současnosti vlastní kostel Římskokatolická farnost děkanství Kadaň a v nájmu ho má město, které tu pořádá kulturní a společenské akce. Early Gothic, later Baroque jewel of the Špitálské suburb. The first written mention of the church dates back to 1183, but the present building probably stands on the site of the oldest shrine in Kadaň from the time of Celtic settlement. During the Hussite conquest of the town in 1421 the church was damaged and in 1452 it was rebuilt into a late Gothic appearance. It also burnt down several times. At present, the church is owned by the Roman Catholic parish of the Deanery of Kadaň and is rented by the city, which organizes cultural and social events here. The Johanites set up a hospital in the vicinity of the church, which later gave the name to the whole part of town. The hospital complex adjacent to the church consists of two storey buildings and a gate. On this plot the hospital was built probably in the Middle Ages, but the first mention of the hospital in Kadaň comes from 1491.
