Wewnątrz kościół zaskakuje jednak swoją skromnością i niewielką przestrzenią. Wart odwiedzenia w czasie mszy aby przypomnieć sobie dawny sposób odprawiania obrządku.
The only one I have ever visited, where the priest celebrates Mass in Latin, with his back to the faithful. The shape of the church seems to be magnificent, maybe thanks to the recent renovation. Inside, the church surprises with its modesty and small space. Worth visiting during the mass to recall the old way of celebrating the rite.

Former Franciscan/Minorite Monastery with the beautiful single nave church of St. Jacob placed formerly at the city walls was first mentioned in 1233 and is probably the oldest monastery complex in the city. During the Thirty Years' War it was almost destroyed. Between 1730-1740, Octavio Broggio restored it, but the whole building was completed after his death in 1758. Under the reign of Emperor Joseph II. the Franciscan/Minorite order was abolished and the Order of the Dominicans moved in by the year 1788. The main altar was made by Jan Hennevogel in 1769. The original entrance to the church was discovered in the monastery corridor. Today, the former monastery serves as a care facility for Zdislava Charity Home.
