Monastery baroque church of st. Families and Sts. Elizabeth in Kadaň was built in 1755.

The historic church where the nuns of Borromeo were. The last nun left this church in 1986. There is a large garden to the church where nuns have grown vegetables and fruits for their own use. The garden is currently running down and surrounded by walls. The church is not allowed to the public.

The Baroque single nave church was built by the architect Jan Kryštof Kosch between 1753 - 1755 as part of the Elisabeth Monastery. Beautiful rococo building, which dominates the Špitálské suburb (especially when viewed from the eastern part of the walls and Žatec Gate) with rich interior equipment is accessible during worship. The church has a richly decorated interior with sculptures by the Kadan sculptor K. Weitzemann from 1732. The ceiling decoration is the work of J. Fux from 1770. On the terrace in front of the entrance to the church are sandstone statues of Christ, the Virgin Mary, st. Joseph, st. Elizabeth and St. Zachariáš. The main altar from 1754 is decorated with sculptures of St. Tadeáš, sv. Louis, st. Klára and sv. Justíny.
