Kostel sv. Vavřince vznikl jako součást kláštera obutých augustiniánů, který byl v Pšovce u Mělníka založen v 60. letech 13. století. Dnešní podoba kostela je dána barokními úpravami a převážně barokní je i mobilář kostela. V roce 2002 byl kostel poškozen povodní. Při následném restaurování bylo objeveno raně gotické sedile (výklenek se sedadlem) a renesanční sanktuarium. Kostel byl do roku 1789 kostelem klášterním, po zrušení kláštera se stal kostelem farním. Dnes je přístupný pouze při bohoslužbách. Church of St. Vavřinec was founded as a part of the convent of the Augustinians who were founded in Pšovka near Mělník in the 60s of the 13th century. Today's appearance of the church is due to baroque modifications, and predominantly baroque is also the furniture of the church. The object was damaged by the flood in 2002. During the subsequent restoration, an early Gothic sitting (a niche with a seat) and a Renaissance sanctuary were discovered. The church was a monastery church until 1789, after the abolition of the monastery it became a parish church. Today it is accessible only for worship.
