Do roku 1816 byl kolem kostela hřbitov . Je chráněnou kulturní památkou ČR. Early Baroque church from 1638 near the square in Doksy was built on the site of an older wooden church. Later it was modified several times. Until 1816 there was a cemetery around the church. It is a protected cultural monument of the Czech Republic.

Dále byl přestavěn raně barokně mezi lety 1670 – 80 a v 18. století pozdně barokně. Věž byla zvýšena a upravena v roce 1832. Zařízení v kostele je převážně raně barokní s rokokovými doplňky. Zdejší varhany z roku 1628 (pocházející z kostela v obci Kruh u Doks) patří mezi nejstarší v severních Čechách a jedny z nejstarších v České republice. V roce 1992 byly zrestaurovány z finančních darů německých krajanů. The church was built around 1636 on the site of an older wooden church, unfortunately nothing was preserved from the original building. It was also rebuilt in early Baroque between 1670-80 and late Baroque in 18th century. The tower was raised and modified in 1832. The furnishing is predominantly early Baroque with Rococo accessories. The local organ from 1628 (originating from the church in the village of Kruh near Doksy) is one of the oldest in Northern Bohemia and one of the oldest in the Czech Republic. In 1992 the organs were restored from financial donations by German compatriots. Věž kostela byla zvýšena a do dnešní podoby upravena v roce 1832. The Baroque Church of St Bartholomew and the Assumption of the Virgin Mary was built around 1638 by Flemish architect Bernard Canevall on the site of the original 14th-century wooden church. The church tower was raised to its present form in 1832.
M	Milan Sahula on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Jelikož jsem měl možnost při pobytu ve Španělsku navštívit klášter Montserrat a shlédnout originál Černé madony, byl jsem zvědavý na jednu z jejích oficiálních kopií - bohužel je kostel otevřen pouze o bohoslužbách, musel jsem se tedy spokojit pouze s prohlídkou jeho exteriéru a interiér jsme viděli pouze z prostoru u vstupu. Tak snad příště... Since I had the opportunity to visit the monastery of Montserrat and see the original Black Madonna while in Spain, I was curious about one of its official copies - unfortunately the church is open only for worship, so I had to settle only for its exterior and we only saw the interior of space at the entrance. Maybe next time...
