V letech 1522-1523 prošel gotickou přestavbou v podstatě do dnešní podoby. Vlašim proslula v církevních dějinách jako rodiště dvou pražských arcibiskupů - Jana Očka z Vlašimi a jeho synovce Jana z Jenštejna. The original Romanesque parish church, then dedicated to the Virgin Mary Victorious, is first mentioned in 1303. In 1522-1523 it was rebuilt in the Gothic style to it´s present form. Vlašim became famous in church history as the birthplace of two Prague archbishops - Jan Očka of Vlašim and his nephew Jan of Jenštejn. The original Romanesque parish church, then still dedicated to the Virgin Mary the Victorious, is first mentioned in 1303. In the years 1522-1523, it underwent a Gothic reconstruction, essentially to its current form. Vlašim became famous in church history as the birthplace of two Prague archbishops - Jan Oček of Vlašim and his nephew Jan of Jenštejn. Pozdně barokní oratoř byla přistavěna v roce 1773. Věž byla zvýšena v letech 1830–1831.Průčelí zdobí trojhranný štít se sloupky na způsob fiál. Presbytář je zaklenut křížovou žebrovou klenbou o dvou polích, je v něm gotický svatostánek a portál. Vítězný oblouk je hrotitý. Vlašim parish Romanesque church of the Virgin Mary the Victorious was first mentioned in 1303. Today's parish church of St. Jiljí is a late Gothic building from 1522–1523. The late Baroque oratory was added in 1773. The tower was raised in the years 1830–1831. The façade is decorated with a triangular gable with columns in the style of violets. The presbytery is vaulted with a cross rib vault with two fields, there is a Gothic tabernacle and a portal. The triumphal arch is pointed.

V letech 1522-1523 prošel gotickou přestavbou v podstatě do dnešní podoby. Jednoduchý kostel má loď i presbytář s venkovními opěrnými pilíři, v sousedství presbytáře je pak menší věž sloužící jako zvonice. Uvnitř je pak presbytář sklenut žebrovou klenbou o dvou polích. Kromě hlavního oltáře sv. Jiljí jsou tu i další dva: sv. Jana Nepomuckého a mariánský. Dále pak novogotická kazatelna a křížová cesta. The first mention of the church comes from 1303, then still Romanesque and dedicated to the Virgin Mary the Victorious. In the years 1522-1523, it underwent a Gothic reconstruction, essentially in its current form. The simple church has a nave and a presbytery with external supporting pillars, next to the presbytery there is a smaller tower serving as a bell tower. Inside, the presbytery is glazed with a ribbed vault with two bays. In addition to the main altar of St. Jiljí, there are two more: St. Jan Nepomucký and Marian. Then the neo-Gothic pulpit and the Stations of the Cross.
