It used to be just a makeshift church. This beautiful work is the work of arch. Kralicka. It is worth seeing, but it is difficult to find a time when it is accessible. The beautiful interior is markedly different from other churches. A forgotten jewel of architecture in Prague.

Not very well known, but more interesting monument. Art Nouveau wooden church, which was originally created as a temporary, but he has survived to this day. Definitely worth a visit.

At the beginning of the 20th century, the chapel of Libeň Castle was insufficient for its believers. For this reason, the Art Nouveau Roman Catholic Church was exhibited between 1904 and 1905 at the expense of the Association of St. Boniface according to the project of architect Matěj Blecha, builder in Karlín. Preparatory work began on October 3, 1904. Shortly before the Easter holidays in 1905, the construction was completed and on April 8, 1905, it was approved with the participation of the parish priest of Libeň, only as a commission until 1910, because according to Libna's regulation It finally came to an end, as did the construction of the new church. The temporary building has been repaired several times and still serves as a parish church to the Roman Catholic Church. At the beginning of the 20th century, the chapel of nearby Libeň Chateau was not sufficient for the believers. For this reason, an Art Nouveau Roman Catholic church was built between 1904 and 1905 at the expense of the Society of St. Bonifác according to the project of architect Matěj Blecha, builder from Karlín. Preparatory work began on October 3, 1904. Shortly before Easter in 1905, the construction was completed and on April 8, 1905 it was approved with a participation of the parish priest of Libeň, only as a provisional object until 1910, because according to the proposed regulation of Libeň, a street should lead through these places. But it didn't happen as well as from the construction of the new church. The temporary building was repaired several times and still serves as a parish church to the Roman Catholic Church.

The painting of the church refers to the Art Nouveau fondness for plant motifs. The roof of the tower has the shape of a hexagonal helmet with a point and a poppy on top. The internal division of the temple space is three-aisled. Church of St. As one of the dominants of Prague 8, Vojtěch in Liben is a unique preserved hall building and a unique example of Art Nouveau sacral architecture from the beginning of the 20th century. The construction of the church is all the more important because Art Nouveau as an architectural style did not primarily take into account the sacral architecture of such dimensions. In 1987, the church was declared an immovable cultural monument.
