The Baroque Marian Column by J. Horman was built in 1725.

One of the most remarkable monuments on the main square of Rokycany is this Baroque Marian Column.

This unique Baroque monument of the city is the work of J. Hofman from 1725. The column was made by sculptor Václav Bauer and probably the year 1770 is the date of completion of the column. In the lower part of the column are placed statues of St. John the Baptist, st. Roch and st. John of Matha. The statues of saints represent St. Catherine, st. Barbara and St. Marciána. In the upper part on the pedestal is the Archangel Michael with st. Adalbert and St. Florian. Between them runs from the center triangular column with the head on which is a statue of the Virgin Mary with baby Jesus. The column is one of the most distinctive elements of the square. The origin of this column is explained by the Latin inscription at the bottom: "To the glory and honor of the virgin, the eternal King of the Nativity, three times raised from the fire, Jan Rauch, Jan Eisel, Jan Gallus, This unique Baroque monument is a work of J. Between them there is a triangular pillar with a head on which is a statue of Virgin Mary with Jesus. The column is one of the most significant elements of the square. The origin of this column is explained by the Latin inscription on its lower part: "The glory and honor of Virgin, the Mother of the Eternal King, born three times out of the fire, given the square from Jan Rauch, Jan Eisel, Jan Gallus - Rokycany´s nine inhabitants.
