Prague-Dejvice Train Station boasts an exciting prime - it is the oldest railway station in Prague, which served since 1830 mainly for the transport of wood from the Křivoklát forests. The station was located outside the city at the junction of the paths behind the Písecká gate. Since the foundation of the railway station, from 1831 comes also the original station building, which is still (in its modified form) behind the railroad opposite the current building. Historically interesting is also the oldest water reservoir in Prague from 1872. You can pay both the card and the euros at the local cash desk. There is a barrier-free toilet in the station and you can shorten the train waiting in the station restaurant (entrance from the east side of the building). A few hundred meters to the east is also Hradčanská metro station, tramway junction, or bus stops for suburban transport.

Beautiful station building, inside clean, I appreciate vending machines for drinks / snacks with the option to pay contactless card. Perons also clean. Just want to equip the door with a self-closing system, people often leave it open and then the draft is cold or cold in winter.

Nostalgické nádraží, známé z filmů. Akorát rychlý přestup na metro Hradčanská není dořešen.
Nostalgic train station, famous from movies. Just a quick transfer to the Hradčanská metro is not completed.

Railway station Prague 6 Dejvice Opposite is the Bachmač Park with beautiful tall trees with a rich leafy crown and many benches. Very nice place to relax. The station building is repaired, has a new facade and the interior is better adapted to the needs of passengers. In the hall, where there are windows of two cash registers, there is a light board with the time of departure and arrival of trains, as well as a vending machine for drinks, biscuits and chocolates. There is also a public toilet, you must pick up the key at the box office, the fee is 8 CZK. Peron is equipped with benches and railings, the entrance to the train is only in a limited area. The surrounding area behind the station, where the slope rises, is grassy with several trees. Trains stopping at this station are painted in color and cannot be overlooked. The operation is smooth and reliable. The station is open on weekdays from 4:35 to 23:45.

Great little station. Bar with live music some nights, cheap beer. Just a basic bar but as genuine prague as you can get. Oh and they do trains too ?
