Slavník´s family St. Vojtěch founded Benedictine monastery in Břevnov. He survived the cruel mass murder of his family by Vršovci dynasty because he lived in Rome at that time. He left as a missionary between the Baltic Prussians in Pomerania, where he died in martyrdom in 997. The second Prague bishop is dressed in episcopal robes, holding the gospel in his left hand, which he proclaimed in Hungary and in the Slavic Prussians. Metal crutch and oar (a martyr's attributes) are missing today. On the bottom we can see the angels and the emblem of the Old Town Council and councilor Mark Baltazar Joanelli, who paid the sculpture. St. Adalbertus is a patron of Czech, Slovakia, Poland and Hungary.

Slavníkovec sv. Vojtěch založil benediktinský klášter v Břevnově. Vyvraždění svého rodu Vršovci přežil díky tomu, že v té době pobýval v Římě. Odešel jako misionář mezi pobaltské Prusy v Pomořanech, kde zemřel r. 997 mučednickou smrtí. Druhý pražský biskup je oblečen v biskupském rouchu, v levé ruce drží evangelium, které hlásal v Uhrách a slovanským Prusům. Kovová berla a veslo, mučednický atribut, dnes chybějí. Na podstaci jsou andílci a znak staroměstského konšela a radního Marka Baltazara Joanelliho, který sochu zaplatil. Sv. Vojtěch je jako patron Čech, Slovenska, Polska a Maďarska světcem uctívaným ve střední Evropě.
