Rozestavěný kostel dokončili johanité v první čtvrtině 14. století. Věž hranolového tvaru byla upravena roku 1454. Vnitřní zařízení je převážně barokní z první poloviny 18. století. Gotická socha Madony na hlavním oltáři pochází z období kolem roku 1500. The beautiful three-naved basilica-type church was founded in 1260-73 (at the same time as the foundation of the town) during the reign of Bavarian II. Lord of Strakonice and Bavorov. The church under long construction was completed by the Johanniters in the first quarter of the 14th century. The tower of the prismatic shape was modified in 1454. The interior furnishings are mostly Baroque from the first half of the 18th century. The Gothic statue of the Madonna on the main altar dates back to around 1500. Vnitřní vybavení tvoří kamenná středověká křtitelnice, Madona z konce 15.století a barokní oltáře. Horní část věže o třech barokních cibulových střechách byla r.1837 sňata a nahrazena jednoduchou jehlanovou střechou. V místech původního ochozu věže byly umístěny hodiny. Jména zvonů: Václav, Vojtěch, Gorazd, Petr a Pavel. Údaje zvonů na obrázku v příloze. Early Gothic church from 1280-1420 was built on the site of the older church. Petra. The interior features stone medieval baptistery, Madonna from the end of the 15th century and baroque altars. The upper part of the tower with three baroque onion roofs was removed in 1837 and replaced by a simple pyramid roof. A clock was placed in the original tower gallery.
