According to my information, this monument should soon undergo reconstruction and then perhaps open to the public.

Velká škoda, že není přístupná
It is a pity that it is not accessible

Nepěkný pohled zvenku, zničená památka. Chtělo by to rekonstrukci aotevřít veřejnosti.
A nasty outside view, ruined monument. It would take the reconstruction and open it to the public.

Today nicely reconstructed pseudo-Romanesque synagogue was built in 1870 and features preserved elements inspired by Moorish architecture. In the interior of the nave (under the newer painting) are the original wall ornamental paintings. It was used for worship until World War II. From 1953 it served as a warehouse and was divided into two floors. In 1995, the building was returned to the ownership of the Jewish community of Prague. Six years later, the synagogue was declared a cultural monument and preparatory work leading to reconstruction began.
